Privacy Policy

NCS Pearson, Inc. (Pearson) is a provider of educational and clinical assessment products and services. This document governs how Pearson will handle your personally identifiable information while using the this Closed Beta Version of Attention360. Attention360 is a mobile-friendly web site that facilitates better learning and life outcomes for children with ADHD through increased communications and enhanced collaboration between mental health professionals, physicians, teachers, and parents. Attention360 is a tool that supports effective and efficient assessment, intervention and progress monitoring.

Purpose. The purpose of the Attention360 Site (the "Site") is to facilitate input and solutions regarding the behavior of your child or student. At the invitation of a parent or guardian, certain individuals may interact through the Site. These interactions may then be considered and used by the invitees in assessing the student's development or behavioral progress. This site is not intended for use by children or students. It is intended for use by parents and guardians and their invitees only.

Data Collected. Information collected and processed through the Site may include:

For the Child/Student:
  • First Name, Last Name, and month and year of birth.
  • Incidents, Achievements.
  • Progress monitoring on behavior.
For the Users (Parents, Invitees, etc.)
  • First Name, Last Name, Email address.
  • Notes and communications about the children.

To initiate an invitation to an invitee, the parent or guardian must input the parent or guardian's email address into the Attention360 system. Invitations to are made by email, and a specific link is included in the email for the invitee to use in accessing the portal. To use the portal, a parent or guardian must create a unique user name, password and provide their first and last name. This information and any information uploaded into the site are related on the system to their child only.

Use of Information. Any information uploaded to the Site by any participant may be used by a participant to assess the child's behavior.

Information Access and Correction. Users of the Site may review and correct and edit their information by logging into their user account.

Retention of Information. During this Beta Period, all data will be retained until the completion of the Beta Period only. All Site initiators will be asked if they would like their data migrated to a production system when that goes live. This will be an opt-in migration.

School Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy addresses how Pearson and the Site handle personal information. A school or clinician may have their own privacy policies, which apply and relate to the School's use of information processed through the Site. These privacy policies may be different than the Site’s Privacy Policy.

Transfer of Information. In addition to supporting and facilitating access to Personal Information collected through the Site, Pearson may disclose Personal Information in the following situations: (a) in response to a subpoena, court order or legal process, to the extent permitted and required by law; (b) to protect the security of a person, consistent with applicable law; (c) to address actual or suspected fraud or other illegal activities; (d) in connection with a sale, joint venture or other transfer of some or all of the assets of NCS Pearson, Inc.; (e) to our contractors or agents, who are committed or obliged to protect the privacy of Personal Information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Protection of Personal Information. We take reasonable precautions and employ reasonable security safeguards to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These precautions include physical security, administrative safeguards and password protection. Users are responsible for safeguarding their user identification and passwords, and to change passwords periodically. In the event a user becomes aware of a possible compromise of a password, the user is responsible to change the password immediately. However, as this is a Closed Beta Trial version, Pearson cannot specifically guarantee that any information provided is safe and secure during this Closed Beta Trial version.

Information Received from Internet Service Providers. This website receives information that is automatically generated by a user's Internet service provider (ISP). This information may include the IP address (a number automatically assigned to a computer by the ISP), the associated URLs, domain types, the browser type used to access our Site, the country, state and telephone area code, the location of the ISP's servers, the pages of our Site that the user views, any search terms entered on this Site, and the user's website address and email address. This information may be collected for system administration purposes to gather broad demographic information and to monitor the level of activity on the site. Pearson does not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information; however, Pearson reserves the right to link IP addresses and other information supplied by the ISP to personally identifiable information in order to protect the integrity of this system and for security purposes.

Cookies. Cookies are small text files that a website transfers to a user's computer's browser. Pearson uses cookies to measure traffic patterns, personalize content and control security. The cookies supply non-personally identifiable information, but they may identify the user's computer, browser and Internet specifications.

Google Analytics. Pearson uses Google Analytics to obtain web trend information about user interaction with this Site. Pearson uses this information for system administration purposes and to identify problems and improve service. While Google Analytics collects and reports information on an anonymous basis, Google Analytics uses cookies and collects IP addresses to gather web trend information. Transmission of Information. By using this Site and providing information through the School Success Site electronically, the User consents to transborder and international transmission of any Personal Information collected or processed through this site.

Links to Other Sites. This site may contain links to other websites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties, or by NCS Pearson or its affiliates. The information practices of those websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy, but by their own terms and policies, which you should read carefully. These other sites may send their cookies to users, collect data or solicit personal information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected or processed through this site. This Privacy Policy is not intended to apply to other Pearson websites or other types of information, which may be subject to different privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy. Pearson reserves the right to change the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting an updated Privacy Policy. Pearson encourages the user to review this Privacy Policy from time to time for any changes or updates.

Resolution of Concerns and Issues: How to Contact Us. If you have difficulty in using the functionality of this system to manage data, including Personal Information, or if you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how we handle Personal Information, please contact your student's School. We will endeavor to work with the School to address any questions or concerns that the School may communicate to us about parent and guardian use of the Site.
